Early last Thursday, sophomore Mike Bower was checking his email when he was shocked to read that a Republican meeting was to take place on campus.
“At first I thought it was a joke. You know, like when someone hacks your Facebook. But then I realized it was legit, and I think I shit myself.”
Mike says he “felt distressed and confused” over the Daily Announcement, as he knew it was rare to spot a Republican on campus, let alone a group of them. Campus Tech Support interns confirmed they received a number of calls that morning about how to delete the announcement, but were prepared for the concern. “When Rick Santorum visited, people were asking how to delete the JHU servers.”
When asked why he had these feelings about the meeting Mike stated, “I don’t know man, it was just so out of the blue. It wasn’t anything half-rooted in reality, like a centaurs or ninja turtles. It was a meeting of college republicans.”
