The Social Network – You know, someone should really tell the tour guides about this. I wonder if they might be able to mention it when they’re showing people around campus.
The Wire – This show ran for five seasons and displayed the lighter side of Baltimore.
House of Cards – No, I haven’t seen it. You people have to stop asking me that.
Veep – The Vice President of the United States, Selina Meyer, played by Emmy-winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus, tries to reach out to the people of DC by going to an ice cream shop owned and run by friendly African Americans. This was filmed at Dominion Ice Cream on 33rd and N. Charles. Louis-Dreyfus thanked her cast and crew in Baltimore in her Emmy speech, so we’ve got that going for us.
He’s Just Not that Into You – A whole lot of famous people were in this widely-forgotten rom com about young people living and falling in love in Baltimore. The highlight is when Jennifer Connelly gets her row house made over and lets Baltimore construction workers in her house unattended.
Saving Private Ryan – Very few people know that the famous D-Day scene was filmed right here on the Beach.
The Dawn of My Eclipséd Sunset: A Day in the Life of a Blind Film Studies/Art Double Major – She got a C-, which I guess counts as passing.
